3 Fun Facts About Jo Ann:

As Jo Ann Tanioka is our new OCBC President, we thought she would be the perfect person to kick off our new #SanghaStrong Spotlight.

Favorite festival food:

Everything that I’m able to consume in between my shifts.

Most inspirational person/role model to you:

My role model has always been my family. I’ve watched and learned from my parents and siblings the importance of commitment, hard work, and gratitude. I’ve watched and learned from my husband and children the importance of simple family time, family meals, and cheering on the Bruins!

A Strong Sangha looks like:

To me, the spirit of Sangha Strong is visible at any of our temple events, but especially at one of our festivals. Without a word, our diverse Sangha immediately comes together with laughter and smiles to clean, prepare and work shifts for two days to support the temple. This collaboration, respect, and appreciation for the temple are how I envision the spirit of Sangha Strong.
